Back in January, Alec and I went on our honeymoon to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We made a one day trip to Harry Potter World as well! It was an amazing experience. We can’t wait to go back! I wrote all about it here.
Today I’m sharing our honeymoon with all of you through video! I had the bright idea to take loads of clips instead of pictures to put together for a video for Alec and me. After we got home and started sorting through all of the pictures and video, I knew I wanted to share it with everyone. I hope you enjoy this slice-of-life DisneyMoon compilation.

Last October, Alec and I finally celebrated our wedding with our family and friends after being married for a year. We had an amazing Disney honeymoon planned for ourselves and decided to push it to January for work and financial reasons. I’m really glad we did, because we weren’t rushed after the wedding to board a plane. We got to bask in the glow of our wedding and head home without worrying about packing all over again. When January finally came, and Alec and I flew from STL to Orlando, Florida (with a stop in between) where we boarded Disney’s Magical Express bus. Soon we were whisked away to our amazing resort: Port Orleans French Quarter.
If you’d like to see our trip captured in video form, stay tuned for Friday! I will be uploading our DisneyMoon video to YouTube where can can experience our first trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL with us!

If you’re participating in The Nerdy Girlie’s 5 Fandom Friday, you may have noticed a few of us have made some DLC’s to complement the already lengthy blog prompt list courtesy of The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick. You can check out my first DLC for 5 Fandom Friday: the GG Pack (the Geeky Gal Pack)!
Thanksgiving is next week, and this prompt couldn’t be more relevant. Going back almost a year ago is one of my first 5FF posts: Fandoms That Made Me Who I Am. This post will hit on this a little bit, but much has changed in a year so get ready for some new fandoms I’m thankful for!
The series is over and I’m still obsessed. Halloween? HP marathon. Christmas? HP marathon. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read the books anymore as I’m reading them again!
I’m not totally caught up yet but I am so excited to see the new Doctor and all of her glory. The Doctor got me through a bad break up and became my favorite hero.
The newest fandom to join my list but also a goodie. Anyone else fall hard for these characters and the 80’s aesthetic?
One of the things that brought my hubby and I together: the mouse. We are so excited to see Disney World on our honeymoon next year.
Star Wars was a late fandom favorite for me but for the past three birthdays of mine, I’ve made my way to the theater for Star Wars.
What fandoms are you thankful for?
I’ve been bitten by the travel bug! After my first international trip, I’m itching to get back on an airplane for destinations unknown… or in this case, nerdy. Think of this as my nerdy travel bucket list!
Doctor Who Experience (Discovery Quay, Porth Teigr, Cardiff, UK)
Ya’ll know how much I love the Doctor. This has been on my list since I fell in love with the show. Check out the website and just salivate from all of its glory. Any Who fan who finds themselves in Cardiff needs to visit this place. It looks freaking amazing!
