Spoilers! Mid Year-2020 Blog + Personal Resolutions

It’s that time of the year where I check in on all of the resolutions I made at the beginning of 2020! I like to do these mid-year refreshers to see what I need to continue working on and what is near accomplishment if it hasn’t already been completed. Like last year, I took a break in May to focus on my mental health and self care. Like everyone else, I have been struggling with self isolation and needed some time away to care for myself.

My break gave me a fresh perspective on my blog, YouTube channel, and my personal life. I’ve made great strides towards some of these resolutions, but others have fallen to the wayside (as they do sometimes), and that’s okay!

Spoilers! What’s On My Bucket List?

Spoilers! What’s On My Bucket List?

This post first appeared on a very old blog of mine several years ago. In the spirit of the New Year, I decided to update it, and post it here for everyone to see. Maybe it will even give you some ideas for your own bucket list!

“Carpe Diem – to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.” Or “seize the day.” Or “life is too short.” Or “when in Rome”. Or “you only live once.” Or “now or never.” So many names for just one word: live.

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about happiness. Mainly, my own happiness. I’ve always have had a hard time focusing on myself. I always feel bad, like my attention should be elsewhere, like on work or school or family or friends. While those things are important, I am still important too.

I’ve shared a lot with my readers, and I’m not going to stop now. I’ve made myself a bucket list of 100 things I want to do before I “kick the bucket.” There’s no time like now, right? I’m working on a few of these presently, but I’m honestly excited to start marking these things off. I know these things will make me happy, and I hope after reading my bucket list, you’ll make your own.

Spoilers! A Look at 2019 Blog + Personal Resolutions

Spoilers! A Look at 2019 Blog + Personal Resolutions

Another year has come and gone on A Geeky Gal. It’s been a crazy year of growth for my blog and my personal life. I wanted to take a look at my 2019 resolutions that I set at the beginning of the year to see how far I’ve come, how my goals have changed, and what I want to work on next year!

I’ve made great strides towards a lot of these resolutions, but others have fallen to the wayside (as they do sometimes). My mental health break was a great learning experience in that I realized what is most important to me, and how I can better handle future cases of burn out. Let’s be honest though, I want to avoid burn out again as much as possible. I have a feeling the year 2020’s resolutions will be much different from this year! — Mid-Year 2019 Blog + Personal Resolutions

Spoilers! Mid-Year 2019 Blog + Personal Resolutions

It’s that time of the year where I check in on all of the resolutions I made at the beginning of 2019! I really needed this refresher after taking a break in May. I won’t be necessarily changing my 2019 resolutions, but I do think I should revise some of my goals after coming back from a mental health break due to burn out. I have a new posting schedule, and my goals should reflect that.
