VGC Day 11: If you could only play one single-player game for the rest of your life, which game would it be?

VGC Day 11: If you could only play one single-player game for the rest of your life, which game would it be?

It’s hard enough to pick one game to play for the rest of life but then I have to narrow it down to single-player. Good thing I prefer single player games.

There’s a few games left in my arsenal that I haven’t completed yet. One of them being Fantasy Life which already has a Saturday Suggestion post. Fantasy Life basically stole my heart and made my purchase of a Nintendo 3DS a “good” decision in my mind (because previously it was bought for the pure enjoyment of Animal Crossing New Leaf).

I won’t harp on Fantasy Life too much as I think my review still does it justice. I’ll just list a few of the major points of why I love this game and why I feel that it would be the one single-player game I play for the rest of my life:

  • There is so much to do.
  • Cute characters with extremely diverse personalities.
  • Complete customization of your very own character with tons of color options.
  • Questing. So much questing.
  • Choose a Life, choose a different Life, go back to original Life (there’s a ton of them).
  • The main story line is refreshing and original.
  • 100+ hours of game play.
  • There’s even an expansion.

VGC Day 6: What game recommendation have you tried this year?

VGC Day 6: What game recommendation have you tried this year?

Thanks to The Dragon’s Tea Party, I started playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It has been my introduction to the Zelda series, and I will say that it’s been quite an enjoyable experience so far!

I really dig the 3DS layout for the game. I like being able to see the map and Link’s gear on the bottom of the 3DS with Link himself at the top. I also really enjoy using different weapons besides his sword and shield like the bow that recharges with energy via an energy gauge.

I’ve had fun with the level designs so far, too! I love the puzzles and clearing out dungeons. It definitely satisfies the quester/completionist in me. It has game play I have never experienced before as well. Link has an ability to merge onto walls and move horizontally along them! The game’s perspective even changes as you do this. It’s really exciting for me to use this clever game mechanic.

As I’m still playing and getting to know my first game within The Legend of Zelda series, I hope to come back to this one day with a Saturday Suggestion post on it. It’s definitely made a fan out of me and I can’t wait to experience more!

Saturday Suggestion – Game: Animal Crossing New Leaf

Saturday Suggestion – Game: Animal Crossing New Leaf

This game is for sure my new addiction. I bought a 3DS solely for the purpose of playing this lovely gem. I actually had the first one for my GameCube and completely fell in love! Don’t let the art style fool you into thinking it’s just another kids’ game. It’s for anyone and everyone (trust me, I’m 21 years old). The point of this game isn’t reaching new levels or gaining points. The point is simply adventure. You get to spend your time just exploring this amazing, creative world all in real time.

Spoilers! The Geek Behind the Keyboard

Hi there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet. I recently moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress. This was my little introductory blog. I thought I’d post it for the new readers as well as edit it and add a little bit of new stuff for my ole’ faithful readers!

A little about me:

  • My name is Megan. I’m 21, and I like to think I’m pretty normal.
  • I am from/live in Alabama in a small town. I work as a graphic designer in a “big” city and go to school full time for Game Art. It sounds like I’m really busy, and 99.9% of the time I am. Luckily I graduate soon.
  • I have a dog named Padme.
  • I tend to be weird, nerdy, silly, and shy (unless I know you then most likely you already find me not-so-shy).
  • Hobbies: gaming, reading, writing, drawing, listening, watching Netflix, pinning my imaginary life on Pinterest (come on, who doesn’t?), being awesome, etc.
