I turned 28 years old this month. I can’t believe I thought 28 would feel “old.” Sure, my knees creak going up the stairs and sometimes my back hurts for no reason. And my taste buds have definitely evolved to liking veggies and fruit more. And sometimes I look at kids and think “what the hell is happening.” But there’s no way 28 is “old.” Nope, not old. We’re wise now. Well… wiser. I’m sure in ten years I’ll look back and think “What the hell was I even talking about?” And shake my head at my past self. But I’m not there yet.
So instead, I want to share twenty-eight things I wish I had known before turning 28 this year. I decided to split these bits of life advice into 4 categories for those like myself who prefer lists and “bite-sized” information with some explanations mixed in. I have your basic basics, all about social media, what I’ve learned in love and relationships, and some money and career advice I think will help just about anyone. These are just some things that have helped me and apply to my life; it may not apply to yours and that’s okay! Take what you need, and leave what you don’t.

My Goals for 2021 // Twitch, Gaming Backlog, Journaling, & More
Happy New Year, geeks! 2020 was hard year for all of us, and I know I’m not alone in saying that I hope 2021 is kinder and that I’m so glad 2020 is over. We’re not out of the woods yet with the pandemic, and many of us are still struggling, but I’m choosing to look forward to what else 2021 will (hopefully) give us. I hope you will too despite the hand we’ve been dealt.
In the last few years, there has been immense growth on my blog. This past year has been steady with a slight uptick in views and visitors compared to the year before last. I even gained about 300 followers! My YouTube channel also passed 150 subscribers! For someone who blogs and makes videos as a creative outlet and for fun, I feel very happy with the growth I’ve seen. I’ve had to think long and hard about what I want to focus on this year and how 2020 has shaped my future personal and blog resolutions. So let’s look at those 2021 resolutions now.
We have finally made it to the end of 2020. Back in June, I chatted about where I was at with the resolutions I made at the beginning of 2020. This year has been full of ups and downs for everyone. 2020 has by far been one of the hardest years for my blog and my mental health. I’ve had more breaks and hiatuses than planned. Regardless, I wanted to take a look at my 2020 resolutions that I set at the beginning of the year to see how far I’ve come, how my goals have changed, and what I want to work on next year! 2021 resolutions are coming January 4th! (Please let 2021 be better!)
My break gave me a fresh perspective on my blog, YouTube channel, and my personal life. I’ve made great strides towards some of these resolutions, but others have fallen to the wayside (as they do sometimes), and that’s okay!
