If you’re participating in The Nerdy Girlie’s 5 Fandom Friday, you may have noticed a few of us have made some DLC’s to complement the already lengthy blog prompt list courtesy of The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick. You can check out my first DLC for 5 Fandom Friday: the GG Pack (the Geeky Gal Pack)!
Thanksgiving is next week, and this prompt couldn’t be more relevant. Going back almost a year ago is one of my first 5FF posts: Fandoms That Made Me Who I Am. This post will hit on this a little bit, but much has changed in a year so get ready for some new fandoms I’m thankful for!
The series is over and I’m still obsessed. Halloween? HP marathon. Christmas? HP marathon. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read the books anymore as I’m reading them again!
I’m not totally caught up yet but I am so excited to see the new Doctor and all of her glory. The Doctor got me through a bad break up and became my favorite hero.
The newest fandom to join my list but also a goodie. Anyone else fall hard for these characters and the 80’s aesthetic?
One of the things that brought my hubby and I together: the mouse. We are so excited to see Disney World on our honeymoon next year.
Star Wars was a late fandom favorite for me but for the past three birthdays of mine, I’ve made my way to the theater for Star Wars.
What fandoms are you thankful for?
Special thank you to Darling Stewie for this topic via her 5 Fandom Friday DLC (Stewie Pack)! She has inspired me to think up my own DLC for A Nerdy Girlie’s original idea of the 5 Fandom Friday topics! Make sure you check out that post soon. Without further ado, meet my 5 favorite Youtubers!
Probably the most “famous” Youtuber in this list is the one and only Markiplier. I discovered him while watching Five Nights at Freddy’s LP’s. He was absolutely hilarious and definitely earned his status of King of FNAF. Other videos of his that I love are his Amnesia LP and all of his Indie Horror RPG LP’s. He’s simply a fantastic, funny, and well-rounded person. If you love watching Let’s Play videos and need a good laugh, check him out.

Special thanks to Darling Stewie for this topic via her 5 Fandom Friday DLC (Stewie Pack)! She has inspired me to think up my own DLC for A Nerdy Girlie’s original idea of the 5 Fandom Friday topics! Without further ado, meet the 5 characters I would love to brunch with!
Lorelai and Rory from Gilmore Girls
From their witty banter to their love of coffee, the Gilmore girls really are the best people to invite to a brunch. I don’t think I’d get a word in but I’m okay with that. It’d be fun to eat and listen to these two. It’d be like being in my own episode of Gilmore Girls, eating inside of Luke’s.

I love to be comfortable, stylish, and a little geeky. I spend a lot of time gathering inspirations via Pinterest and Polyvore. Something that always catches my eye is a take on a character’s wardrobe. Bonus points for comfy flat shoes! While I may not personally identify with some characters, I have a few that I ENVY simply for their closet and outfits. From my soft spot for skulls to 90’s nostalgia, these characters have closets I’d kill for.
Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)
Speaking of 90’s nostalgia, I give you the one and only Sailor Moon. Usagi loves food and comfy clothes as much as I do. I love these takes from Polyvore on her very 90’s clothing. Her style is simple, comfy, and colorful.

Of course my Fiance is my #1 man. Every girl has her fictional boyfriends though, and I know he’d laugh at and agree with all of these! Most of these guys were picked for their humor, just being an awesome human being, and my love for the characters they portray.
Don’t roll your eyes. You knew he’d be on this list. My love for the tenth doctor has no boundaries. He and Christopher Eccleston helped me battle out some dark days with Doctor Who. Tennant is also amazing in other roles too… (Broadchurch, Casanova, I can go on all day, ya’ll).

I’ve been sick lately: first a cold, then the flu. I had to take 3 days off of work because I was contagious. I made myself lots of soup and laid on the couch with Padme. I was pretty miserable but watching my comfort films helped a lot! Here’s my top 5 list of favorite comfort films!
If you haven’t seen Balto, we can’t be friends. I watch this movie for the heartwarming story and the nostalgia of my childhood. My mom can tell you I watched this 243,830,946 times. She thought she was being hilarious when she bought me the DVD a few years ago…

Ten2 & Rose
By far, my favorite one true pairing. If you watch Doctor Who, you know exactly who Ten2 (TenToo) is. I snot-cried through that episode and the last episodes with Rose as the Doctor’s companion. Art courtesy of trustahope.
