It’s the month of October and you know what that means… 5 Freaky Faves is back! In case you’re new around here or don’t remember 5 Freaky Faves from previous Octobers, 5 Freaky Faves is a spooky take on 5 Fandom Friday, which has been retired for the most part by the original creators, but I still love making these lists so I am carrying on the spirit with my own version of 5FF. Now let’s get to the five horror Webtoons that will keep you up at night!
Everything is Fine
Everything is fine in this Webtoon Original by Mike Birchall. Meet Sam and Maggie, just a normal couple living in a normal neighborhood with their normal dog and their normal neighbors where everything is… normal. Or so it seems. This suburb has some strange things happening… but our characters continue to say that “Everything is Fine.” Behind the cute art style and animal head characters, something unnerving lurks in the panels of this Webtoon. Maggie isn’t just the loving housewife, and begins to look into things that she probably shouldn’t. I have a funny feeling that everything is NOT fine…
Webtoons are a big fave here on the blog. They kept me going through the pandemic and have become a part of my nightly routine. I even count them as a part of my weekly reading goal. I saw Annie over at Evening Tea Musings pose the question: what Webtoon stories would work well in anime? We’re seeing Webtoons get live action adaptations like Love Alarm (Netflix), Sweet Home (Netflix), True Beauty(Rakutan Viki), and others! So why not anime too?! Today I am sharing my top 5 action Webtoons that need their own anime. Netflix? Are you getting this?
Since we’re still in February, today’s Saturday Suggestion is still counting towards the month of love even though Valentine’s day has passed. I thought the blog was due for some more Webtoon suggestions! This time, we’re diving into romance and drama to fit with this month’s theme. I picked five Webtoons that I am currently enjoying, and I hope you will give them a try and offer the creator your support by following their Webtoon and liking the chapters! Without further ado, let’s get to my current top five romance Webtoons!
Y’all I have fallen hard for the Webtoon app. Ever since discovering Lore Olympus, I have been reading tons and tons of comics created for the platform. There’s so many talented creators that I just knew I had to add Webtoons to the Saturday Suggestions! I want to kick this off with one of my favorite Webtoons right now: Lookism.
