CrapPile is blog that I just recently started following. John has quite an opinion on a lot of things which is something I can appreciate. His recent post on the Star Wars prequels caught my eye. As someone who loves the prequels (and even named her dog after Padme Amidala), I enjoyed reading what John had to say.

I’m a huge fan of the blog The Time Ladies and its many writers. Thoughts on Regeneration: A Trans Perspective immediately drew me. Emma is a phenomenal writer and reading her post brought tears to my eyes; it’s a worthy read for anyone and everyone.

Asiana Circus is another new blog I’ve added to my Reader! Like Jella, I found a place to call my own within anime. I also suffer from anxiety, and two of the anime shows mentioned were my escape: InuYasha and Ouran High School Host Club. Check out her list on Top Anime Shows that Help Fight Depression and Anxiety.

So when Modern Gafa shared this post on his wedding, I just knew I had to share it with you all! It’s a rare occurance that a blogger gets featured twice on Link Loves but I loved both of these links! Matt at Normal Happenings is back with Writing the Unreliable Perception of Time with some insight to his main character in Dysontopia. Which I love in case you didn’t know!

And now for something I think you’ll really enjoy… Well, maybe if you’re a graphic designer you will! Spoon Graphics is an awesome site with tons of tutorials and free stuff! I’ve referenced back to his tutorials for my branding boards as well as things here on the blog.

The Mental Attic takes on changing male toxicity in video games. With the new God of War released, The Mental Attic digs into games with male protagonists that lack emotions and feelings with examples from modern games like Deus Ex and Shadow Warrior to male protagonists that grow and show emotion like Kratos in God of War.

AwksNerd takes us on a 5 point journey about how the Star Wars prequels benefited the original trilogy. As a big Padme Amidala fan (I mean, just ask my Chihuahua Padme), I really loved this list!

I am featuring two emotionally heavy posts this week. The first one is from AmbiGaming. Athena writes about the guilt behind playing video games despite being a fully functional adult, something I find myself relating to more and more lately as wedding planning takes a front seat along side my job, house hunting, and saving.

The second post hits really close to home. Kim over at Later Levels tackles grieving with video games. I recently lost my grandfather in March. It still doesn’t feel real. I feel a pain in my heart whenever he comes to mind. Like the other day when my grandmother asked how “we” (Alec and I) were doing. I almost said: Good! How are y’all? It was enough to make me take a second to myself before quickly backspacing. I’m struggling with his loss, but I know I will heal eventually.

Let’s move on to something a little brighter. I recently stumbled across Camryn Dayton’s post on Manga Classics, and I got so excited! I haven’t read a good manga in awhile and what better way to do it than with visiting the classics! Look out for a review on these!

The lovely Wintendo64 graces us with her latest cosplay: Yennefer from the Witcher 3. I love the build and simplicity of this cosplay! Wintendo64 just looks so comfortable and relaxed. Check out her post and give the photos a look!

Last but certainly not least is this charming post about quirky gifts by Chrissie at Vamp It Up Manchester. Her mini haul of Old English Company brand stationary and gifts is enough for any geek to run out and get their very own ‘fancy a cuppa’ coasters!

A good friend of mine in both the real world and the blogging world is writing an amazing YA Sci-Fi novel. I literally can’t wait for Mondays now! Here’s chapter one, part one and chapter one, part two of Dysontopia.

I thoroughly enjoyed this review of ‘It’s Spring Again’ from the Well-Red Mage. Not only did we get see a children’s game get a thorough review by a gamer parent, but we also got to see pictures of the cutest baby! I’m looking forward to more of Kal’s reviews.

I’ve been an avid reader of The Girl Who Sits for quite some time. I always find her posts enlightening, and this week she really knocked this one out of the park with her post Mutant and Proud: Disability Lessons from X-Men. “X-Men does a stellar job of discussing minority issues in general terms, but when we look at the literal issues that mutantkind faces, we can clearly see the likeness of mutants and people with disabilities.”
