A Very Geeky Christmas: What Gifts I Got in 2020

Last week I did a round up of gifts that I gave for this past Christmas. Today I wanted to again do something I’ve never done before! I got a few things I asked for on my 2020 wish list plus a few things that I didn’t that I absolutely love. I also went ahead and looped in some of my birthday gifts as well since I knew they might make an appearance being my birthday is exactly a week after Christmas. I think sharing these kinds of lists will maybe give you some ideas for next year or for birthdays or for those times when you see something that you just have to share with someone. So let me break down some of my favorite items that I was gifted during Christmas 2020 for you!

Wish List Items

My partner is one of the best at gift-giving (and also one of the hardest to buy for). He took my wish list into consideration but also got me a few things that he thought I’d like which I’ll go over in the other categories below. He bought this beautiful dainty crescent moon necklace from Gypsy Dust Jewelry on Etsy. It’s dazzling in person, and I can’t wait to wear it. He also snagged this Swing Dress With Pockets on sale when Foxblood had their Black Friday sale. It’s super soft, incredibly comfy, and did I mention it has pockets? On Amazon, he managed to grab a 2-in-1 set of Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask and it’s adorable counterpart Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment.

Video Games

I didn’t ask for many games this year, because I honestly didn’t know what to ask for. For the Switch, my partner bought me Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Luigi’s Mansion 3. Fire Emblem is a bit out of my wheelhouse but it’s been really fun so far! I asked for Luigi’s Mansion so my partner and I could give the multiplayer a try since we loved playing the arcade version at Dave and Buster’s. For my birthday, my partner also got me Just Dance 2021 for the Switch and three Sims 4 PC expansions that included Realm of Magic, Get Famous, and Toddler Stuff. I love the Just Dance series, when my partner spotted a BlackPink song on the cover of Just Dance 2021, he knew I needed it. And if you haven’t checked out my Sims 4 Speed Builds, now would be a good time to see what I’ve been up to before I dive into these new packs!

Other Cool Stuff

The year is off to a great start already if you checked out my 2021 resolutions. My partner got me an amazing Elgato Ring Light to help with the quality of my videos. I’m in love with it already. To go with my other Legend of Korra hardcover comic collection, my partner also got me The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire in a hard cover as well. Maybe it’s time to start reviewing all of the Avatar comics… And finally, my mom got me the ever popular Baby Yoda Plush Action Figure for my birthday. I told Padme that Grogu is her new sibling. She wasn’t pleased haha!

What are some of your favorite gifts you received this year? Tell me in the comments!

  1. Yessss! I got JD 2020 from my partner some time ago… I think right when I got the switch in March for Animal Crossing and I was hyped to see KTL on there! And I started playing the game so often that I ended up buying Unlimited for a year! I looked forever for a BTS song thinking there was no way Unlimited had BlackPink but not BTS. I was really disappointed. I think we already talked about this on your post about KPop songs you wish were on JD? I might be misremembering! 😂
