A Very Geeky Christmas: My Wish List for 2020

With December being right around the corner, I thought I’d do a little wish list. I haven’t done one of these since 2018! I think I’m overdue for it. I also love seeing others’ wish lists too, so feel free to share yours in the comments below! As you look through my wish list for 2020, you may notice that I haven’t simply listed the photo and link of the item as I used to do. I decided to leave lots of options for everyone, and keep my wishes a bit broader this year. I hope y’all like this new format!

Minimalist Necklace

I’ve been hunting for the perfect dainty necklace for years now, and I may have found a few contenders this year. Pictured above is a pretty layered moon necklace from Mejuri coming in at $70. For a bit more at $85, I found this beautiful dainty crescent moon necklace from Gypsy Dust Jewelry on Etsy. I could also pair it with Gypsy Dust Jewelry’s satellite chain choker for $55 to recreate Mejuri’s look.

Air Fryer

Air fryers may have already had their moment, but with the pandemic keeping me from the gym (and my depression keeping me from actual meal prepping), I looked into way to make cooking easier and better. My search has lead me to an air fryer! I am currently looking at this GoWISE Air Fryer on Amazon as well as the Ninja Foodi (this model has an indoor electric grill!). If an air fryer isn’t for you, I can recommend a crockpot or an instant pot if you find yourself struggling with making meals right now. Both have been life savers for us.

Loungewear

While I am continuing to self isolate, I have been very late to the loungewear train. Mostly because everything sold out so quickly during the first lockdown! So I have expanded my definition of loungewear to include comfy and flowy clothing items that requite little effort which brings me to my picks for my X-Mas list. I am absolutely loving Foxblood and their lovely creations. I have my eye on this Oversized Tunic Top, this Drop Crotch Joggers + Crop Tee, this Swing Dress With Pockets, as well as this Long Flowing Top with Thumbholes. For some cost-friendly alternatives to Foxblood’s cozy sweaters, I’ve also been looking at Amazon for things like this Oversized Cardigan, this Fuzzy Sweatshirt, and this Lightening Bolt Cardigan.

Jewelry Storage

While I still have quite a lot to do around the new house including buying and putting together a new vanity for the nook in our bedroom, I miss having my necklaces on display so I’ve headed over to Etsy and Amazon to see what might look good with an “IKEA special.” On Etsy, I found this super cute wooden Jewelry Organizer With Shelf that is a close match for this Rustic Jewelry Organizer on Amazon. On the other side of the spectrum, this modern Hanging Jewelry Organizer has a handy magnetized top that would be perfect for more jewelry and accessories.

Self Care Basics

I don’t know about you, but I have been going heavy on the self care throughout this pandemic which means, I have run out of a lot of my favorite things to care for myself! My partner got me this Bath Bomb Gift Set a Christmas or two ago and they are simply lovely. I gift them to everyone that loves to use bath bombs, and I’m in need of a new set. I also love to do a sheet mask every week and I want to give I DEW CARE ‘Let’s Get Sheet Faced’ Face Sheet Pack a try per a friend’s recommendation. She also recommended I try Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask for my recent break outs (due to wearing a mask when I go out… and stress probably).

What are you asking for Santa to bring you this year? Tell me in the comments!

  1. Since you mentioned jewelry storage I remember one big surprise I got on Christmas was a jewelry armoire. My jewelry is all costume of certain fandoms but it was definitely something I was happy to receive.
