Harry Potter Challenge: Day 13

If you’re interested in participating in the Harry Potter Challenge, read this post here! Each day I will be posting a question for that day for the next 30 days. When I reach day 31, I will release all 30 questions in a single post with links to all of my answers. Follow along each day with your own post or feel free to wait until the entire challenge has been released and take it on whenever you like! Be sure to link back to the master post at the end or link back to each post for each day.

Day 13 – Muggle Studies: What muggle skill would you like to learn?

Ever since I began dabbling in cosplay, I’ve wanted to learn how to sew. I attempted to make a dress with my grandmother once, and it ended in me making just a skirt… It didn’t go very well at all.Regardless, sewing would be an amazing skill to have for real life situations like altering my own clothing, repairing clothing, making clothing for future children (I have incredibly fond memories of my grandmothers making dresses for my cousins and me), and making some unique home decor.

I’d love to give it another try one day if I can manage to make the time. I definitely would love to take some sewing classes in person. Since Muggle Studies aren’t a thing here in our world, I have heard that there are some local fabric shops that offer such classes, and there’s always YouTube and videos online that could teach me.

In Muggles Studies class, we’re learning about Muggle skills! Feel free to tell us about what Muggle skill you’d like to learn in the comments below OR take on the challenge yourself and link back to this post so I can see your answer!

  1. I’d love to learn how to write properly! .. Just kidding… I think!

If I had to pick anything it might be driving a car. I can’t really do that due to.. my health and it’s effect on life as well. I would still love to be able to and since this is a magical post lets use that one!

I am considering following Japanese lessons! Not sure if there is a wizard school there, if not I bet that counts as a muggle skill!

    1. Driving would be a good one! I wonder how often witches and wizards need to know how to drive?

I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese! I’ve been trying my hand at Korean this year because I have a couple of friends that speak it ( I’ve fallen off that wagon massively, but I really should get back to it).
