Harry Potter Challenge: Day 9

If you’re interested in participating in the Harry Potter Challenge, read this post here! Each day I will be posting a question for that day for the next 30 days. When I reach day 31, I will release all 30 questions in a single post with links to all of my answers. Follow along each day with your own post or feel free to wait until the entire challenge has been released and take it on whenever you like! Be sure to link back to the master post at the end or link back to each post for each day.

Day 9 – What would the Mirror of Erised show you?

The Wizarding World

There’s lot of things that the Mirror of Erised could show me that I’m not honestly so sure would be good for me or my mental health, much like Harry wishing his parents were back from the dead. I don’t have a relationship with my biological father anymore, and while I have moved on with the help of therapy, many members of the family have chosen to turn their backs on me which has furthered the trauma I have endured from him, and there will always be a little girl inside of me wishing that things were different. If the mirror were to show us having a relationship again, I don’t think it would be good for me at all as history has already repeated itself several times.

I would really hope that the Mirror of Erised would show me being successful. As someone who considers herself ambitious and has several personal goals, I really do hope to make my stamp on the world in some way that’s through writing, 3D modeling, YouTube, or maybe even something else that I haven’t figured out yet. I would love to see some kind of mark of accomplishment like a video game I created, a book I had written, or being able to reach out to people through my blog, YouTube channel, or in person.

What do you think the Mirror of Erised would show you? Let me know in the comments below OR take on the challenge yourself and link back to this post so I can see your answer!

  1. Me falling in love, me being successful- getting a job I enjoy. Moving countries. Attending university.
Something deeper- me being accepted by people just the way I am.

      1. Yes, lots indeed, but yours is different, I can’t remember thinking this hard for a blog challenge hehe.. I am actually doing your challenge but I am publishing them all at once. My network might banish me for flooding them with an HP post daily, but I am following your instructions on linking the daily post itself…

  2. This is hard. But I like a good challenge, so here goes! In my opinion, I think the Mirror of Erised would show me being successful and make a change to the world, a small one, maybe, and living my best life.
