Day 3 – Which pet are you bringing with you to Hogwarts & why?

I decided to try an online quiz, because I simply couldn’t pick a pet! I got a cat, and I’m very pleased. I grew up with a beautiful, large, mixed Siamese cat that my family named Baby Boy pictured above. He lived to be about fourteen years old I believe. I loved that cat so much and have hoped to one day adopt a cat for my home with my husband and our dog Padme (she adores cats), but that’s a story for another time.

My Hogwarts cat would be Siamese as well. I’m pretty familiar with them and adore their personalities. She would be named Serena (after Sailor Moon, of course).

Serena enjoys exploring Ravenclaw tower while I’m attending classes and sneaks out to check up on me every now and then. She loves when I sneak her ice cream from dinner and sleeps at the end of the bed on a handmade blanket on most days. She’s vocal and playful, and loves attention from anyone in the common room.

What pet are you taking to Hogwarts? Why? Let me know in the comments below OR take on the challenge yourself and link back to this post so I can see your answer!

  1. LOL same! Cat too. I picked cat myself, and didn’t take a quiz because I simply knew I’d need one. Owls and toads would be too much of a hassle… And you cannot really connect with birds and amphibians, can you? Forming a bond with a sweet lil cat is far easier and much more loving… I’d name her Raani, which means queen in Hindi(which is my native language).

  2. I don’t know what to choose between a cat or an owl, but I decided to bring an owl. Still love cats though. I have like, I don’t know, seven birds at home and I connect with them, and I would name my owl River.
