I’ve been focusing on my health journey for over 3 years now. It’s a lifelong commitment, one that has been difficult, but rewarding. It was hard to get over the numbers on the scale and focus on my health instead of how small I could be. Working out with a personal trainer for over a year gave me confidence in the gym and the knowledge of how to work out safely, when and how to push myself, and helped me improve my relationship with food.
I’ve had to find ways that keep my accountable and excited to keep on this journey. One of those ways has been music. On the days I saw my trainer, I’d rock out on the way to the gym or listen to music while getting in a ten minute warm up. When I was on my own, I found it was best to create playlists so I didn’t have to stop what I was doing to find the next song to keep me on track.
And nothing gets me going more than a heart-pumping playlist. Since discovering K-Pop, I found myself listening to some of the same songs while lifting. It seemed like it was time to make my own K-Pop Work Out Playlist to enjoy while sweating. It’s my main work out playlist now! And I’ve shared it below for anyone who wants to give it a listen while getting their work out on.
While you might notice there’s several songs from my last K-Pop playlist, I chose the songs that inspire me to work out hard, like BTS’s “Not Today,” “ON,” and “UGH!” There’s also fast paced songs from Blackpink like “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love.” And there are songs that make me want to dance it out like “Feel Special” by TWICE, “SOLO” by Jennie, and “Peek-A-Boo” by Red Velvet. Spotify even recommended some songs that I added as well like “Monster” by EXO.
