Sartorial Geek recently partnered up with The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick to bring back 5 Fandom Friday! You can see all the prompts for 2020 here! If you’re participating in The Nerdy Girlie’s 5 Fandom Friday, you may have noticed a few of us have made some DLC’s (downloadable content) to complement the already lengthy blog prompt list courtesy of The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick. You can check out my first DLC for 5 Fandom Friday at the GG Pack (the Geeky Gal Pack) and my second DLC here at GG2 Pack!
Disney+ has been out for a minute now, so I thought it would be a good time to talk about some of the content I’ve been enjoying so far. I still think Disney+ can use some improvements overall as I expected a product that mimicked Hulu and Netflix. I will say though that I am glad we have a great selection of old and new Disney movies and shows so that I can catch up or just relish in the nostalgia of my childhood if I want to. Overall, it’s a great subscription service if you love Disney. Let’s get to what I’ve been watching on Disney+.
You knew this was going to be on this list. It was the only reason we even subscribed in the first place. If you’ve watched it already, you and I are both eagerly awaiting for it to come back October. If you haven’t watched it yet, what in the world are you doing with your life? BABY YODA!
Pixar Short Films
As a 3D artist, I have a special love for Pixar’s short films. I think they are so creative and beautiful, and I adore the artwork. Also, they always make me cry like a baby. I like to have a good cry every now and then. If you also need a good cry, I highly recommend these short films.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
I have heard amazing things about all of the Star Wars animated shows so my husband and I decided to add The Clone Wars to our nightly/weekend line up. So far, I love it! Anakin is a favorite of mine so it’s really cool get to see him in action. Ahsoka has quickly become one of my favorite characters as well. She and Anakin make a great team.
Ah, childhood nostalgia. Alec and I spent an evening watching the Recess movies while enjoying our dinner and I can’t remember the last time we laughed that much during a cartoon! It was honestly great to revisit an old favorite and appreciate it with grown up eyes and ears. I plan on revisiting some more old favorites soon!
I loved That’s So Raven as a kid so I was excited to see Raven’s Home on Disney+. I turn it on when I’m home and need to get in some time on my exercise bike, but it’s also nice to turn on when I’m cleaning and doing other household chores. It’s funny in the same way That’s So Raven is and doesn’t need my full attention in order to put a smile on my face.
What are you watching on Disney+? Do you have any favorites yet? Let me know in the comments!
