Day 18 – What character would you like to meet in real life?

Ten is not just one of my favorite Doctors; he’s also the one I identify with the most. Behind a positive and joyful demeanor is someone who carries a lot of guilt and anger. During conflict, he can be fiercely protective and without mercy. While I’m working on some of my own issues with guilt and anger, I still very much try to be positive and learn from the past. — A Geeky Gal
If I had the chance to meet just one of my favorite characters of all time, the Tenth Doctor would be that character. My favorite regeneration of the Doctor is hands down David Tennant‘s Tenth Doctor for so many reasons. While I was initially upset about the whole regeneration concept after saying goodbye to Christopher Eccleston’s Ninth Doctor, meeting the Ten brought happiness back into my life. I touched on how much Doctor Who helped me through a difficult time in my life on Day 7, and so the show will forever hold a very special place in my heart.
Ten also brought my husband and me closer. At the time of my break up from an abusive ex, Alec and I were best friends. While trying to lift my spirits with memes, fanfictions, and Doctor Who, Alec and I became very close. I started to share even more with him emotionally and mentally than I had with anyone else. It was the beginning of our friendship growing into something more… as cheesy as it sounds.
Doctor Who became something we watched together as much as possible. It was quite hard when Alec was 6 hours ahead of me due to the distance between us, but we made it happen somehow. We started with Nine and before I knew it, I was watching Nine regenerate into Ten. I cried over the loss of Nine and had a hard time wanting to watch Doctor Who again. It only took a couple of weeks for us to start watching the show again. Alec convinced me to keep going, that I would adore Ten, and he was right.
After Ten stole my heart, Alec and I started routinely watching Doctor Who together. It became a bonding time for us. We’d have dinner or a snack and snuggle into our beds with Skype as we watched whatever crazy adventures the Doctor was going on next. We laughed and cried. We talked about the episodes in depth. It was a big turning point in our relationship, and Ten was there to bring us closer together.
While you might be thinking I’ve gone off on a crazy tangent on a post that was meant to celebrate the character I want to meet, I promise I’m getting there. The very first thing I would want to tell Ten is “thank you.” Thank you for helping heal a broken heart. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to every day. Thank you for bringing Alec and I closer together.
I know that there are characters written specifically for bringing people together and lifting spirits. Ten was written to continue to bring fans into the Doctor Who fandom, and David Tennant played him beautifully in a way that I’ll never forget. If I could meet Ten, I would tell him how much he changed my life and brought me and my husband closer.

I got a few options for this one, depending on the rules we play with.
I would love to meet Mooncake from Final Space, but I could not bare it to say goodbye forever so if we are meeting for a day only I’d rather choose Pinkie Pie from my Little Pony, or Flufflepuff. I bet I could just have an amazingly magic filled day with them and after that we could still say goodbye without our hearts breaking. If I got to keep them I’d like to meet Tohru in Kobayashi’s stead. I could use a maid and am more open to eat that tail.
I could also meet Mew, it created Pokémon so perhaps I could convince it to make Pokémon here.

I didn’t even think about rules! Obviously it can be a fictional or real person. I’m no sure about the rest though, but it looks like you’ve got some good choices! 🙂
