Welcome to the twenty-first installment of Link Loves. These posts are all about my favorite links of the week! It can include bloggers, articles, news, clothing, accessories, and other cool links I’m enjoying. If you have a favorite blogger or article, share them with me in the comments!
This week I’ve decided to share TEN blog posts that I am loving! The posts range from beautiful poetry and writing to gaming and anime. These wonderful people deserve a follow from you, so give their posts a read, hit the like button, and follow their blog!
You think you know what we are?
Unsung heroes of our tribe.
Covered in the ink of our exploits.
We learn, chuckle, and transcend age.
Among other traits.

George R. R. Martin felt that knowing the identity of Jon Snow’s mother, a woman, was key for the showrunners to have deduced from the books, so that it would be the driving mystery through each season.

Giving your character a place in the world, ties to nations, loyalty to factions, all offer potential for characters to be part of the world, opening avenues of role play and adventure, not to mention having allies may prove essential if a character is a loner and outcast. A character with family is – of course – asking for more trouble than the half-klingon-half-tiefling warlock of Salvatore, but it’s more dramatic and awesome trouble than it is painful and contrived awesome. It is more epic to have to leap to your death to save your estranged brother than it is to have everyone in every town you enter ask what the hell you are.

That brings me to the question, what makes a game difficult and how difficult should a game be? It speaks for itself that how more layers of gameplay and mechanics you add, the more difficult a game becomes. Take Europa Universalis 4 for example. In this grand strategy game, there are so many mechanics; it’s not even funny anymore. The complexity of a game can turn some people off. I would love to play Europe Universalis 4 with more people but most of my friends don’t understand how the game works or get too scared when they hear how many things they need to think about while playing the game.

The Kyoto International Manga Museum is set in a former elementary school and keeps the schools history whilst also mixing in manga and its rich history. The museum was formed through the collaboration of the city of Kyoto and Kyoto Seika University In order to share, collect and preserve the wonderful culture of manga. The museum even has a cute little mascot named Mamyu.

And then I got the Sims. Not gonna rehash that story, go over here and read it from the Games that Define Us if you wish. Even just playing the Sims makes me not want to call myself a gamer, cause there are a lot of people who wouldn’t consider the Sims a video game as it’s more simulation. I didn’t call myself a gamer when I just played Sims because I didn’t want to deal with people complaining that I wasn’t really a gamer.

Every Tuesday night, Pete and I play games online, or at least try to as sometimes life gets in the way. I look forward to it each and every week and I’m always gutted if we can’t play. Over the years we’ve played all sorts including Destiny (both the original and 2), Rocket League, Strange Brigade and currently Fallout 76. We’ve also played The Division.

I’ve gotta be honest – Houston has some of the best colors in the Overwatch League. I love Boston, and I like their colors, but the sleek black and lime green of the Outlaws is just classic. Houston is my older brother’s team and while they’ve struggled a bit in this first stage of season 2, I think they’ll really pick up once the meta changes. I mean, they’ve got Jake-rat, after all. How much more of an advantage could you ask for when his best hero gets a massive buff?

Since I have prattled quite a bit, I shall leave you with this: it’s good to keep a casual eye on your aspirations in life, no matter what they are as long as they aren’t harmful to you or others. Nevertheless, learn to take one day at a time. Life is short and fallible and can be a hot mess of random crap, but that doesn’t mean that we have to be. Even short people can become taller with the proper shoes. 😉 In life, more often than not, making the most of a moment is simply surviving it. Fuck, having a will to survive, no matter how big or small, is the most ambitious fucking thing ever, and don’t ever let anyone take that away from you.

Hey guys, so I was taking a look around the old WordPress Reader the other day and I decided to have a lil’ peek around Megan’s slice of the internet at A Geeky Gal. I saw a while back she did this challenge and thought I’d give it a go. I certainly have a few games to talk about! (If you’re reading this Megan I adore your work!)
If anybody else wants to join me in this month-long challenge please feel free to do so!

For some of you guys who know knows me, I am an avid fan of romance, so naturally, I move to Shoujo to get my romance fix. Shounen romance sometimes just doesn’t cut it anymore.
“But you a guy, why you watch Shoujo?”
Hey you there, its 2019 already, get a move on, will ya?
According to Anilist, I watched over 110 Shoujo shows, and that takes up about 10% of my anime watched, and 50% of my romance shows.
So I believe I am qualified to do such a challenge(?)
