Ellie at Not-So-Modern Girl tagged me in this super neat Literary Dinner Party Tag awhile back and I finally wanted to tackle it in true Geeky Gal style! I’m twisting this tag a bit so that instead of inviting literary characters to a dinner party, I am going to invite video game characters!
One character who can cook/likes to cook
Marshall Law not only kicks booty in Tekken, but he also cooks. Law is a Chinese-American restaurateur who has owned his own restaurant and has also worked in a Japanese restaurant. If I’m going to have a video game character help me cook for my dinner party, Law would be my first choice.
One character who has money to fund the party
Any opportunity I have to stick it to Tom Nook from Animal Crossing, I’ll do it. Nook has gotten so many bells out of me over the year.
One character who might cause a scene
Bigby Wolf of Wolf Among Us can be quite frightening to deal with when he’s investigating. After diving into the Fable comics, Bigby’s personality has truly started to shine. Would he make a great dinner guest? Only time will tell.
One character who is funny/amusing
Sheogorath of one of my favorite games, Skyrim, is quite the… err… mad man. If you haven’t done his quest yet, I highly recommend it. Sheogorath would definitely add humor to my dinner party, although his madness may end it quickly!
One character who is super social/popular
While I may not be able to understand Pikachu from the Pokemon franchise, he’s the most social and popular video game character I could think of! I think Pikachu would keep my diner party light and fun.
One villain
Pyramid from the Silent Hill series would be the villain I invite because why not? We don’t know much about him and could use this opportunity to get to know him!
One couple (doesn’t have to be romantic)
I had to pick Sora and Riku for this one with the latest release of Kingdom Hearts III. They not be the most iconic duo, but they’re my favorite duo. I bet they will be the life of the dinner party!
One hero/heroine
Spyro gets this spot at my dinner party for the simple reason that he was the protagonist of my favorite childhood game! He’s sarcastic, sassy, and original. Definitely the kind of guest I would love to serve at a party.
One under-appreciated character
Is Aloy under-appreciated? I’m not sure but I definitely didn’t appreciate her as much until I gave Horizon Zero Dawn a longer play through. I initially played only the short beginning of Aloy as a child and then put the game down. I picked it back up awhile back and got to appreciate her more as a character. I’d love to get to know her better at my dinner party!
One character of your choosing
Kratos of God of War is one of my all time favorite characters and I would love for him to come to my dinner party! Plus, his voice actor is also the same actor who plays Teal’c from Stargate SG1, and I LOVE his character!
My Nominations:

I was trying to think of characters outside of cooking games who could cook, and he came to mind!

That’s good. Hahaha! One other character I know who can cook who’s also in a fighting game is El Fuerte from Street Fighter 4.
