Link Loves: Struggles of Gamer Couples, Mental Health with Polaris, Representation in Gaming & a Zelda Inspired Recipe

Welcome to the seventeenth installment of Link Loves. These posts are all about my favorite links of the week! It can include bloggers, articles, news, clothing, accessories, and other cool links I’m enjoying. If you have a favorite blogger or article, share them with me in the comments!

Y’all know that struggle of being a couple that games together. Erin at The Girly Geek Blog puts those struggles into words for us with her post Struggles of a Gamer Couple. Anyone else head-nodding along?

As someone who is still new to the comic book world, I felt compelled to read The Comic Vault’s post on Addressing Millennial Mental Health With Polaris And Why She Is So Relatable. No regrets. In fact, I’m ready to pick up some comics with strong female characters who battle with mental health so if you’ve got some recommendations, leave them in the comments. I’ll review them in a Saturday Suggestion post.

Why [do] we need representation?

We need it to show others perspectives and give you and I a chance to see ourselves in the characters we see and play as. Representation also helps people know that they are normal and as much accepted by society as everyone else.

ClanGeek wrote this amazing post on Representation in Gaming and why it is so important. I applaud him on writing about something so personal that just doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

If you’re not following Sheikah Plate, what are you doing with your life?! Seriously though, these recipes are amazing, including this Prime Poultry Pilaf. It’s really easy and really delicious.

What are your favorite links this week? Got a new favorite blogger? Tell me in the comments!
