The best way to relax for me is to binge-watch Netflix & Amazon Prime. With the holidays over, you will find me on the couch under a cozy blanket cuddling with my long-haired chihuahua, Padme, with drinks and snacks watching a Netflix marathon. I’ve given in to all the modern show crazes, including some guilty pleasures. Here’s some binge-worthy snacks to eat while watching some of my latest favorite shows.
Eggo Waffles – If you hopped on the Stranger Things bandwagon, you know much much Eleven loves Eggo Waffles. Pair the waffles with bacon and syrup!
Fries – One of the first foods we see El gobble up. Load up your fries with chili, cheese, bacon, or whatever combo you like!
Ice Cream – El ate some ice cream at Benny’s restaurant after the burger and fries. What’s your favorite flavor?
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life
Tacos – A staple meal in the Gilmore house. Make a large batch in a crock pot, load ’em up, and eat ’em up! (Don’t forget the tater tots!)
Chinese Food – One of the Gilmore’s favorites after a break-up (and one of mine at any time of the day!). Order in or make your own with one of my favorite recipes here.
Pizza – Almost as prominent as coffee, pizza is a favorite of the Gilmore Girls. Order in or make a date of making your own mini pizzas before the marathon.
Walkers – Or potato chips! Decorate the coffee table with a variety of chips and dips to enjoy while watching the very beginning of Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
Mini Sausage Rolls – These are super easy to make yourself. Make a pile to snack on with ketchup and mustard dipping sauces.
Hot Tea – I take my hot tea with Almond milk and a little sugar. If tea isn’t your thing, coffee would work!
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Sushi – Like Titus, we like to think we’re high class. Sushi says high class… no, it doesn’t but it’s delicious.
Wine – Pinot Noir to be exact, but you can get what you like! Whether you have deep pockets like Jacqueline, or you like cheap like me, pick what you like.
Candy – Kimmy looks like a bowl of skittles and it just makes me want a candy spread on the coffee table. Pick out a couple of bags of your favorites and settle in for hilarity!
Croque Monsieur – A French comfort food that is layers of smoked ham and Gruyère cheese sandwiched between buttered bread and then broiled. Perfect as an appetizer and easy to make!
Fondue – From the Swiss! Super easy to make and share in a crock pot! Pair it with veggies and crackers.
Beef Rolls – A dish from the servants’ hall, these beef rolls are easy and delicious.
